[Feature Request] new option for output

PostThu Sep 24, 2015 3:23 am

Hi BMD,

So in the OCIOCDLTransform tool. There is an option to export CDL's. The extention is .cc and
I would expect it to follow the standard .CDL or at min .ccc
This is really minor, but should be rectified. Especially when working with Resolve, as it takes a .cdl files with the correct specifications.

This actually brings me to the second some what minor issue, of how fusion exports the CDL's out of this tool. It exports the data, but it does not make a xml files that adhere to the specifications of the .cdl format. It only writes the bare minimum of information. So if I was to take this into Resolve for example, it will not import that exported file, unless it has the correct format/layout. It does not need all the data, but just the XML tags.

Cheers

I would second this request to get the OCIOCDLTransform tool to use .cc, .ccc, AND .CDL files.

.CDL files are very common, and I would love to not have to convert them to .cc files before I can use them in Fusion.

Here is an example of the cdl format I am referring too.
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ColorDecisionList xmlns="urn:ASC:CDL:v1.01">
   <ColorDecision>
      <ColorCorrection>
         <SOPNode>
            <Slope>1.000000 1.000000 1.000000</Slope>
            <Offset>0.000000 0.000000 0.000000</Offset>
            <Power>1.000000 1.000000 1.000000</Power>
         </SOPNode>
         <SatNode>
            <Saturation>1.000000</Saturation>
         </SatNode>
      </ColorCorrection>
   </ColorDecision>
</ColorDecisionList>

A third to this one - .ccc export would be very useful.
