Particle transparency question

PostWed Oct 14, 2015 5:01 pm

Hi,

New to Fusion and using Fusion 8 b2 on OSX but...

When I try and lower the alpha of particles they become additive. When I try and use the 'additive - subtractive' slider under the 'merge controls'. Nothing happens.
How else can I make particles transparent without them becoming additive and super bright? Trying to make subtle smoke and I don't want to have to lover the overall opacity at the particle renderer end as the effect becomes too clunky.

Thanks,

Dominik

Did you use the "Alpha Gain"? If you set that to 0 while you are in the "Normal" apply mode, they will indeed become additive.

You should just use the "Blend" slider :)
