Fusion 8 some of the templates gone

PostSun Jun 05, 2016 2:37 pm

Hi,

sorry if this was already asked before. I did quick forum search, but haven't found anything about it.

I am wondering why were some of the templates removed in Fusion 8. I used them on daily basis. For example Damage templates folder contained chromatic aberration which I loved and used very often. I am sad to see them go.

I copied them from Fusion 7 to 8, and they seem to work without issues, but I still do not understand why so many useful templates would be removed :( I am sad to see them go.

You have to manually copy them from Fusion 7.71
from
C:/program files/blackmagic design/fusion/templates
to
C:/users/"user name"/appData/Roaming/blackmagic design/fusion/macros

I'm new to fusion, so I just have version 8. Is there a way to get these old templates?

Thanks

One could download & install Fusion 7.7 then copy the folder as above. Is there another way? Maybe. I profess ignorance.

Yes, I wrote in my first post that I manually copied them. So I know how to do that. My question was more about why would so useful presets be removed in first place. Or rather, why would some non-deprecated functionality be removed in newer version of the software.
