What kind of font was it? Fusion accepts only TTF fonts if I remember correctly.

Question??

i researched for TTF, since this is all new to me:

TTF= True Type Font (normal User)

OTF= Open Type Font (best used for designers)

I was wondering how do i know which font has what type file??
Does it says it on the same font or is it written elsewhere

i searched for the internet but failed

Please & Thank you

You can tell by the extension of the filename. If it ends in *.ttf it's a True Type Font.

Fusion can use .otf fonts. I'm doing so right now.

Basically, any font you install under Windows should show up and work quite fine in Fusion.

HI guys

i tried it once more and it worked fine

i guessed it was kind of a glitch or something and wouldn't show it at the moment

BTW, is it necessary to close fusion when i install a new font or it doesn't matter???

Yes, you do have to restart Fusion every time you install new font.

Fusion 9.0.1 under Linux only sees fonts only in /usr/share/fonts.

You can change the Path map to /home/youruser/.local/share/fonts
or remove the fonts folder in /home/youruser/.local/share/ and make a symbolic link to the /usr/share/fonts folder

e.g.: ln -s '/usr/share/fonts' '/home/youruser/.local/share/fonts'

Also make sure that your user then has read and write access to /home/youruser/.local/share/font

If you now install fonts, they go into the right directory and Fusion sees them.

(just want to make it clear, googled and always got this forum entry, so Linux users also get their answer...)
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, AMD Threadripper 2990WX 32-Core, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080Ti 11GB, 64 GB Ram.
