PSD file import

I'm using Fusion 8.2.1, and wanting to sort out a workflow I used to use in AfterEffects. I would design in Photoshop, then import into AE such that I still had my layers, and type, shapes were still editable. I tried this with Fusion, and all layers end up rasterized, while my two colored circles come in as black squares.

What do I need to do differently, or is this a limitation currently?

I have the same issue in 9 it seems fusion lacks behind in importing psd files that have shape layers in them.
Which is a shame because I would have loved to move to fusion but not being able to import vector files is a no-go for any motion graphic post house.

that after effects can import PSD files is a no brainer, some company.

i dont know if the PSD specifications are open to other developers so that you can build a proper importer

Has anyone figured out a good workflow regarding this yet?

Try using svg. This is - as far as I know - a standard supported by both programs.
I can't imagine *having* to import vector graphics. It's not like you're allowed to make changes to a graphic design 9 times out of 10.
