Exporting a 3d LUT cube with custom dimensions/format

PostMon May 22, 2017 9:04 pm

Hello, I am quite new to Fusion. I am evaluating Fusion to help aid in the creation of LUT to be used in real time rendering, based on Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4 presentation.

Currently, our LUTs are 32x32x32 volume textures stored in the DDS format. I tried to export a 3d LUT from Fusion (by clicking a View and choosing LUT > Convert to 3d LUT) , but the resolution options are locked at either 17, 33, 65, or 256. Is it possible to define a custom resolution?

Also, I tried to use the LUTCubeAnalyser Tool to write out a LUTCubeCreator Tool with some Tools applied to it, but the Options on the Analyser node do not let me choose the .CUBE format (Type is limited to ALUT3, ITX, and 3DL).

Is it possible to export a 32x32x32 .CUBE 3dLUT from Fusion?

Thank you.

Use LUT Creator which can be set to any size, and LUTCubeAnalyser to save

Is this still a valid strategy? I cannot find LUTCubeAnalyser  in the manual.

The helpmap seems broken for that tool. It's on page 402 though.

Ok, i was able to do what i need with the lut creator and lut analyzer.

Only drawback was that the LUT created cannot be seen by resolve (the software does not export a .cube)

So, it would be very nice if BM add the [export .cube] functionality.

Thanks four the help.
