Installing Fusion 8

PostFri Jul 14, 2017 6:55 pm

Hi,
For some unknown reason when I installed Fusion 8 it insisted on putting the program on my c-drive, where I don't have the room and I don't want it. I have a very large applications drive where these things should be installed. Any idea how to get it to install where it should go?

Thanks

At the moment you can't. There used to be an advanced option for installation, but there isn't right now.
On the other hand: Fusion isn't a large program. If you don't have room on you c: drive then you're bound to end up with other troubles as well.
What you can do is install to c: and then just move the installed directory to your applications drive.
Pre-BMD Fusion was a very portable application, you could run it from wherever. Maybe this is still the case. I haven't tried it myself, but it's worth trying out.

Well... one of the reasons why I have the room on my HD is because I don't allow programs to install there. However, Fusion is pretty small and I can always store the video files on a different drive.

Thanks
