Scribble effect ?

PostTue Aug 01, 2017 6:06 pm

Hi everyones,
I'm new (in this FAQ and in Fusion) and I'm looking to do a "Scribble effect". Could you give me some cue or link to do this ?
To thank you in advance for your support

Hi,
It's simply paint on the images. It's frame by frame. It's use on the musical video (for exemple:
) Usualy, I use AE but I would try with Fusion. I just don't need how.

Can you help me ? Thanks you. JJ

It looks like you animated a mask or trim paths in AE. If that is the case then you can use the paint node in Fusion and draw strokes as intended and on the stroke's control you can animate "write on start" or "write on end" or both. I have included a Fusion comp below. Simply copy the content and just paste in Fusion's flow area.

Tools = ordered() {
Background2 = Background {
Inputs = {
GlobalOut = Input { Value = 100, },

From the looks of that video it's just 'traditional' frame by frama animation. Just use the regular paint tool set to multistroke. This setting defaults to painting only on the current frame.

Thank you for your answers. Both of you. I'll try it.
I use separate layers.
The first is the movie.
The second is the paint layer in transparent mode with the "fill effect" and I change the color with keyframes. in this way, I've more flexibility.

I try to do the same thing in fusion.
I'll try your suggestions.

Thanks a lot.

JJ
