Fusion 9 - RED footage not importing

Just tried to import RED footage - no go in F9. Is this down to RED to add a plugin or Blackmagic...

I can read a Dragon 6K R3D.

Hmm I'm on a MacPro and Fusion 9 doesn't list R3D files as an import option. Tried RED ONE, EPIC, DRAGON & WEAPON. No go. Anyone else with the same problem?

Same here. Sierra 10.12.5. Late 2013 mac pro trashcan. Older Fusion (8.2) can read the R3D files fine, but constantly opens files in the background, eventually giving "too many open files" error. I upped the system max, which stopped the crashing (well, postponed it to the new max), but Fusion still can't save compositions after too many files are open, and gives the "too many open files" error when I try.

Both versions I've tried are the free ones. Hopefully studio works, because I'm waiting on it from B&H.

R3D files are not read here in Studio 9 on a Mac.
The same footage reads fine in version 8.2.1 on the same hardware.

That's odd, I'm on Windows 10, but I was able to load up some Helium footage in Fusion 9 Studio on my machine.

Same here. Fusion 9 with Sierra 10.12.6 on a Mac Pro Late 2013 did not load RED footage.
Fusion 8 on the same hardware works well.

Time for a fix, it seems.

I'm on Studio too. It's a bug. Unfortunately BM didn't decide to start with a public beta like for Resolve.

i thought i had the same problem (windows 10) but after 10 minutes it did import the footage. but its so slow that i cant work with it. a huge workflow breaker
