Fusion Studio 9 Render Node licensing

PostWed Aug 02, 2017 2:15 pm

I can not get a render node to work, the status of the render node shows "no license". If I plug the dongle in, it sees the license. Is there anything that can be done so the render node sees the license? So far can not install the render nodes on multiple computers for processing.

Had the same issue with all the render nodes reporting a status of "NO LICENSE" on Windows 10 Pro.

I believe the issue was the windows firewall blocking a second instance of FusionServer.exe. There were 2 copies of it running, one for Fusion Studio and one for Render node. Only one instance was allowed through the firewall.

My solution was to create a new inbound rule for '../Fusion Render Node 9/FusionServer.exe' and restarting the Fusion Render node, it now reports "Idle" and can render on all machines.

Thanks Stephanein,

I resorted back to using Fusion 7.7.1 for my latest jobs. But when I have time to test again I'll try the firewall exception. Thanks for the info.
