Hiding green tracking path

PostFri Aug 11, 2017 2:58 pm

I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but lots of googling and searching has turned up nothing.

I'm doing a track on a long scene to eliminate some jitter. The problem is that since it's a long motion jittering over basically the same spot the green motion path becomes an opaque mask. I can't see the features or really even the tracker through it in order to check the track or make adjustments.

Is there any way to turn off the green path, or to limit it to X Number of frames before and after the current frame?

Thanks

You can use CTRL+K to hide the on-screen controls for everything (or use the button 2 buttons on the right of the little lock on your view tool bar)

Unfortunately that hides the tracker too. No good for correcting the frames where it jumps off track. It's frustrating. I can't see the footage through the green lines to get it lined up again, but if I turn off the controls there's no longer tracking controls to line up!

I Just remember you can also go to the path (in the modifier section) and turn off 'show view controls' there. This may be what you're after?

Bryan & Sander, those both work. Thank you very much. I knew it had to be somewhere, but Google wasn't getting me anything and my own poking around at buttons failed me.

That Show View Controls is still there in version 18. Thanks, all that wandering green was driving me crazy!

You can also right click on the viewer and in 'Controls', slect 'Active Tool Only'. You might need to deselect the Tracker node and reselect it.
