MacBook Pro Dongle Issue SOLVED

If you try and use Fusion Studio or Resolve Studio on a MacBook Pro (>2016) with only Thunderbolt 3 ports, and running High Sierra (10.13), you get an error message that no dongle is attached... even if there is a dongle attached via an adaptor.

I've just installed the public beta version on High Sierra 10.13.1, did a clean install of Fusion Studio 9.0.1 and the problem is still there.

Well that’s good to know. I really do not get their love of the dongle.

but isnt it more a problem with Apple and there OS?

if it worked before then something on the OS side must have changed which now breaks the connection to the dongle.

I'm very happy to report that as of Fusion Studio 9.0.2, Fusion now recognises the dongle on my MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and boots up as expected. Hooray!
