Wrapping exported 3D data in texture

PostThu Oct 05, 2017 5:15 pm

Is this a thing?

I'm rendering out a bunch of jewelry pieces from a 3D software and I'm wondering if there is a kind of pass I could export that would contain the info needed for Fusion to wrap it in a texture. Sorry I'm not explaining this properly. I don't even know if it's a thing.

If I am understanding correctly, you want to render a UV pass. To apply a new texture using this pass, use the Texture node. Here's an article that might help:

Hey Bryan!

Thanks so much for this. I can see myself integrating this into my workflow.
