Mask lines I cannot seem to get rid of

PostTue Nov 07, 2017 7:39 pm

Hey guys,

Im trying to patch up a few problem areas on my green screen key by applying a polygon mask to the delta keyer. It's working, but there are thin edge lines around the mask I cannot get rid of. (visible on the left frame in the image) I tried softening the edges of the polygon mask but even with the edges softened, I can still see the edges over my image, albeit blurred. Am I doing something wrong? Surely there has got to be a way to create a polygon mask with invisible edges lines. Or maybe it is something having to do with the delta keyer? Any advice? Could really use some help with this. Have a lot of green screens to do!

Thanks!

Tried a matte control but it did not work. It just applied the delta key to the entire image rather than the polygon masked area.

Bright lines are usually indication of missing premultiplication when it is required.

I don't understand your flow though. You are stacking multiple keyers one after another, while it would be easier to understand and both logically and technically cleaner to pull all the keys on source and combine them later. Also, any mask should either paint over or stencil any input matte or the combined one. Btw, it seems that you are rotoing negative space ("holes" not objects) which is not great approach because negative space does not have real shape nor form.
