Object removal using Camera Tracker...?

PostTue Jan 23, 2018 4:37 pm

Can someone point me to a tutorial or technique for using Fusion's camera tracker to remove objects from a shot? I have a client project that is proving to be quite painful in executing. I'm mostly acquainted with Nuke, so I'm trying to transition to Fusion.

Thanks in advance.

Although a Fusion user too, I confess I'd do, it in Mocha (sorry for the useless opinion ;) )
*MacMini M1 16 Go - Ext nvme SSDs on TB3 - 14 To HD in 2 x 4 disks USB3 towers
*Legacy MacPro 8core Xeons, 32 Go ram, 2 x gtx 980 ti, 3SSDs including RAID
*Resolve Studio everywhere, Fusion Studio too

I have Mocha as a plugin in another program. I might have to get Mocha Pro if I take anymore time to complete this client project.

Well, go there and use the Remove panel... Otherwise, any chance to show a screenshot of the main problem ?

No. I'm at work at the moment. No access to the shot. I've just bought the Mocha Pro for Fusion plugin. So, I'll try that later today when I get home.

I'll report back my progress.

Thanks, Mike!!

EDIT: What I found especially interesting is that he shows a technique whereby you attach the Polyline mask to the original footage. All I would need to do is pipe a Merge to a copy of the footage node as Background.

But, for my current project, I'm going to try using Mocha Pro for the removal effect.
