I have a shot that doesn't have one tractable point. I want to follow one point until just before it goes off screen, then switch which point I am tracking with out moving the object following the track points, then finally move with the new track point on the next frame. If you watch the last 15 minuets or so of "Masking for airborne death. Um, I might have to redo some of it." on my channel Coolshows101 you get a visual representation.

Thanks. I found a point I can track 22 frames in and I am planning to manually move my object for the first 22. Now I need to have it change perspective, like corner positioning but off set. How do I change size and position of the image I am tracking, then have it follow the track points?

You can manually offset any tracked point using the X and Y Offset controls that appear at the bottom of the Tracker's control panel. Each point has its own Offset—select the point you wish to modify, and the sliders will change accordingly. The original tracked point keeps its usual two-arrow icon, and the offset point gets a small square linked to the parent point by a line. Scroll to the bottom of this image to see where I've indicated the Offset controls:




You can connect a Point control to the offset point by right-clicking, and pointing to Connect To > Tracker Node > Tracker #: Offset Position. Note that in the Connect To menu, you get an entry for the entire node, and one entry each for the tracked points themselves. The two types of entries have different options and different purposes. To connect to one of the tracked points: Connect To > TrackerNodeTracker# > Position.




The Tracker is one of the more complicated tools available in Fusion. It is well worth studying its entry in the Tool Reference Guide (p. 657ff in the July 2017 edition) and the Tracking chapter in the User Manual (Chapter 11, p. 309ff).
