Solution for "GOMP_4.0 not found"

PostTue Mar 20, 2018 11:07 pm

Alexander Weide posted a solution on Facebook for an error he encountered running Fusion Studio on Linux Mint 17.3. He's apparently having trouble registering here, so I'm passing along the information at his request:

Alexander Weide via Facebook wrote: I bought Fusion Studio last week, yesterday the package arrived and i was not able to get it working on Linux Mint 17.3 because the dimension.plugin failed to load. caused by a missing libgomp 4.0 file.. i had Libgomp installed with version 4.8 so i searched for it in forums. IVe solved it and tried to post it in the fusion forum but was not able to register. the website dont accept the my middle number^^ maybe somehow can post the solving in the forum. ....the first image shows the problem the second image is a forum entry which brought the solution.

Yes the GOMP_4_0 is not the libgomp version per se but the OpenMP standard version, so you were correct to assume you need at least gcc 4.9 runtimes for that.

That should be true for any distro with gcc runtimes < 4.9.

Thanks for sharing.
