turning network renderers only on, when required

PostTue Apr 10, 2018 3:08 pm

Hello Forum

I turned out that my PC is not able run Fusion and as a student i can't afford my dream machine/pc ...
An additional concern is the costs for electrical power, because high end GPU based cards do consume serveral hundred watts.

Threfore I am considering a moderately priced PC, but with SSD and enough RAM.

I am wondering if it would be a good idea to install a GPU card in an external PC and to turn that machine only for final rendering purposes on. That would probably only makes sense, if the Fusion workstation (preferably under Linux) does automatically recognize available network renderers...

Any feedback is appreciated very much!

Thank you

Bill
