Navigate large image

PostSat May 12, 2018 6:17 pm

This may seem really stupid, but in Resolve 15.2/Fusion tab I cannot figure out how to move about in a window when the image is larger than the viewer. My mouse has a scroll wheel and that moves the image up and down, but I cannot find a modifier or key to move the image left & right. I know it's probably staring me in the face and a search on this forum kicks out posts about windows machines, I'm on a Mac with latest OS.

Does the middle-mouse button drag work?

My mouse has no middle button. Usually there is a mod key stroke set up for emulating a key you don't have, to the L or R button, but I cannot seem to find one.

I don't have the keyboard alternatives handy right now, but please: get a mouse with a middle mouse button. I don't think there is any professional software that doesn't benefit from having one. Be it 3D, editing, photoshop or word processors.

On my mouse the middleclick is hidden underneath the scroll wheel: push the scrollwheel down for a middle click...
I must admit it isn't handy and I only use it whilst editing.

Also, there's plenty of remapping-apps available to help you: https://www.google.be/search?q=remap+middle+mouse+button+on+mac&oq=remap+middle+mouse+button+on+mac&aqs=chrome..69i57.9711j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Last time I used a Mac, I discovered that my mouse did, in fact, have a middle button, but it's disabled in the driver for some reason. Double check the mouse settings. I was using the Mighty Mouse at that time.

But, Ctrl + Shift + Left button will pan. You may wish to set your scroll wheel to zoom instead of panning if you can't use middle mouse. That can be done in the Fusion Settings > UI.
