import svg in to fusion

I'm trying to import an .svg file created with illustrator. In fusion i do file import svg. is shows the file size window, I click ok. and then nothing. no new nodes, on error, nothing. I've tried exporting from illustrator with different settings including create outline. what am i doing wrong. seems like this should work.
