Grouped strokes don't track well

PostSat Jun 02, 2018 6:49 am

I was doing touchup and beauty work this week. Nothing too complex, but definitely having clusters of paint strokes grouped and tracked. Some of the grouped strokes would go way off track at random frames but only on renders. I'd render more then once and I'd get this anomaly appearing on different frames than the first time around.

If I played the timeline or stopped on any frame, these grouped strokes were right on target. Caching these paint nodes would not work at all. In the cache directory I could see the caches disappearing as soon as they were saved.

Also, when I constrained the range to render only the problem frames the issue would go away.

This was happening in multiple comps, Fusion 9 on Windows 7.
