ARRI RAW colour Help

PostThu Jul 12, 2018 7:22 am

Hi,

I am new Fusion user, and hope to build a long lasting love with it :)

So I am working on a project, a short commercial shot in Arri, Raw.

I have made the offline edit in Premiere, relinked the Raw footage in Resolve and exported half bit RGB zip EXR sequences/shots to composite in Fusion.

Now the colour is very flat...how do i get the REC 709 look / which node ?

Thanks!

After loading convert the colourspace to linear using a cineonLog node ( set the log type to Arri LogC )

to view the shoot correctly apply a viewer LUT to convert from linear to the monitors colourspace (which is probably sRGB unless you have a REC709 calibrated monitor )

Professionally i would always use exrs in linear colour rather than log.

DPX files are a good log format for camera log files from production cameras.
