Audio broken in fusion 9

I've been loading Audio in to the comp by right clicking on the speaker icon at the bottom of the screen.
Somethings happening because my framerate in fusion playback has slowed to a crawl... (less than 1 frame a second ) but if i turn audio off it jumps back to 24fps
Audio playback in Resolve is fine
It feels like a recent windows update may have killed the audio.
Any suggestions

Fusion 9
Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 driver version 398.36
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6800K CPU
ASUS motherboard
64GB Ram
0.5TB ssd cache drive
0.5TB ssd os drive
2TB raid working drive
USB fireface UCX soundcard
