Running Resolve 15 and 14 plus Fusion 9 Studio at the same t

PostMon Aug 13, 2018 9:56 am

Hey,

Now that resolve 15 has been officially released, I would like to try it out. However my company bought the studio versions of resolve 14 (serial) and Fusion 9 (dongle) for me. First of all I would like to know if these two licenses somehow enable me to also use the studio version of 15 (think I read this before). And secondly, can still use the previous version by themselves if I have to (eg run Fusion 9 Studio as standalone)? Or does the installer replace these previous versions? Thank you!

You can run DaVinci Resolve Studio and Fusion 9 Studio simultaneously, that’s no problem. The Fusion Dongle will allow for this, it grants you access to DaVinci. You can’t, however, have two versions of DaVinci on your system. Before installing 15 make a backup of your database, that’s critical if you need to roll back to 14.

Cheers,
Mike
