Retouching Video

What would be the best approach to retouching a vlog? Is there a straightforward way to do a frequency separation on a video clip?

Do a search on this forum, and you should find a thread that discusses the frequency separation technique, I think including a macro that performs the operation.

The planar tracker (a Studio version feature) can usually be used to get a decent track for masking a face. It doesn't work so well if the subject turns their head too far or if they're not in close up, but for most talking head shots it does a nice job helping you isolate blemishes and wrinkles for smoothing. For more troublesome tracks, Mocha is still the weapon of choice, although there's been an unfortunate price hike since it was acquired by Boris.
