Snap Offset in Paint node - What does this do?

PostWed Oct 17, 2018 10:22 am

I cannot quite figure out what this option does in the Paint node. Is it referring to the 'Time Offset' or the 'Offset'.
It is not mentioned in the manual - anyone know what it does?

Thanks.

It 'snaps' the off-set of your brushes to full pixel values, which makes cloning sharper than it would be if the off-sets were in sub-pixels.

Ah, makes sense.

So it's increasing sharpness at the expense of sub-pixel position accuracy. Good to know - thanks.
