Clear File Browser History?

PostThu Oct 18, 2018 4:31 pm

I have a NAS UNC path that is no longer valid, and I've already repointed all my loaders to the correct new path. However, it looks like the Fusion file browser History feature is trying to resolve the old path every time I open the UI, resulting in ~1 min delays everytime while it tries to connect. Is there a way to clear the browser's history?

Fusion must not be running when you do this.

You can find the file browser history in the Preferences. Search the file for "FileReq" and then look for the line History = {

It will be a ridiculously long list. You want to delete everything under that History line and above the line with a single "}, "

You'll need to look at it with a coder's text editor because something like Notepad for Windows will not respect the line breaks.

Or if you haven't customized your preferences, you could just delete the Fusion.prefs file and Fusion will create a new clean one the next time it runs.

I don't remember off the top of my head exactly where the prefs file resides. I think it's in the Profile folder in the app data directory.
