EXRIO

PostSun Oct 28, 2018 10:53 pm

Hi

A Cryptomatte user has submitted an issue on github regarding the EXRIO module.

It seems that the builtin EXRIO module does not accept paths with non-ASCII characters, in this case the German umlaut. The user was working with Cryptomatte on an image with following path:
Code: Select all
"X:/00_XXXXXXX/XXXX/Bürogebäude mit Empfang/02_OUTPUT/StreetView/WIP/V13/20180808_P2_C3_V13.exr"

Which created following error:
Code: Select all
ERROR: Cannot read image file "X:/00_XXXXXXX/XXXX/Bürogebäude mit Empfang/02_OUTPUT/StreetView/WIP/V13/20180808_P2_C3_V13.exr". No such file or directory.

This error is being printed by Cryptomatte using following code.
Code: Select all
EXIO:GetLastError()

Is there anything I can do to pass the path to EXRIO to avoid this error encoding wise, or is this an internal issue that I cannot work my way around?

Cheers
Cedric
