When I add a Change Depth node to an 8-bit image to convert it to float, the viewer shows only a checkerboard. What is missing?
Some questions, but I think it is related to your graphic card:
What OS and hardware do you use?
Do other float images work in the viewer? (background, fastnoise...)
Did you change the settings in the preferences for the viewer?
