extrapolating 2D image from VR

PostThu Dec 20, 2018 1:20 pm

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but how do I go about extrapolating a flat, undistorted 2D image (for non-VR use) from an 8K image that's been stitched for VR?
Thanks.

I think - depending on the kind of projection - you can reproject the image on a sphere and then 'film' the result through a 3D camera in Fusion which will result in a 2D image again.

But VR is not my speciality, so be sure to find some other info as well :-)

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I came across a tutorial explaining just such a method. Just wondering if that's the best method. I have little to no experience working in VR. Also, I can set final resolution of the 2D image, say, to 1920 x 1080, in the render node, correct?
