Shadow Catchers

PostThu Jan 03, 2019 4:54 pm

Does anyone know how to set up a Shadow Catcher when placing a 3D object in a scene in Fusion? Are there any video tutorials for this technique?

Thanks in advance.

Render with shadows, render without shadows, pull a difference -> shadows!

Thanks, Pieter.

So, how would you combine the renders to then pull the difference?

Thanks. I'm coming over from Nuke. I'm learning the Fusion workflow for effects. :D

Other method is to put a "replace material" before a second renderer and set a complete white material
Then you should have a inverted shadow catcher
