Tools menu hiding

PostThu Mar 14, 2019 7:46 pm

So I must have hit something. When I press shift+space the tools window does not pop up. But it is there. I can type shadow on the keyboard and hit enter and a node pops up.
So how do I fit/re-set this?

Do you have a second monitor that was recently disconnected? Chances are the dialog is popping up there off-screen.

This is a general Windows trick for recovering an off-screen window.

Activate the Choose Tool dialog. Alt+Space activates the Window control menu. You won't be able to see it, of course, because the window is off-screen. Hit M to activate 'Move'. Tap one of the arrow keys. This will cause the mouse pointer to jump to the location of the window, and the window will "stick" to the cursor. Without clicking anything yet, move your mouse pointer. The mouse should jump to a valid screen location, bringing the window along with it. Click to drop it.
