Clip from Fusion 9 back to Resolve 15

PostTue Mar 26, 2019 6:12 am

Hello

I move that one clip from Resolve 15 using "New VFX connect clip" -> "Create" command to Fusion 9 to work on it. After modifying the clip, I saved it under an other name, and I rendered. Now I want it back to Resolve for replacing for the previous one. How do I do?

Thank you for helping

You saved it somewhere else under different name and rendered to some other place than what vfx connect set up, right? In this case you must import your rendered sequence manually and place it onto timeline like any other media. If you want to use vfx connect as intended, you must not touch locations and names, otherwise you break the link that allows automatic updates on Resolve timeline.

thank you
But do I have to render or to save something
It works when I copy and load as other data, bur not when I switch from Fusion to Resolve
In Resolve I get a piece of data "VFX Connect" that doesn t reflect the one I worked on in Fusion

When you create the VFX Connect clip, just leave all of the defaults, don't create a custom location to save to, just let it save it to a temp directory. Create your comp in Fusion 9, then render it. Resolve should automatically be updated and the VFX Connect clip should have the work you did in Fusion 9.

I added some screenshots in my above post, did you follow the steps I mentioned, do you see basically what is in the screenshots when you use the VFX Connect? You should see a new clip in your Media Pool called VFX Connect Clip, do you see that?

Hello

I can render the work to Resolve 15 with the Render button
When I click the save button, (with or without SV node) I dont see anything saved where I told Fusion to go
Where doest that file go?

Thank you

Download the latest Manual for Resolve 15 from the support site, and go to page 696. This starts the chapter on VFX Connect. You should be able to find any answers you need.
