Fusion 16 Studio beta 2

Thank you to everyone who has reported issues with the first beta for DaVinci Resolve 16 and Fusion 16.

We are pleased to announce DaVinci Resolve 16 Studio beta 2 and Fusion 16 Studio beta 2 is now available. For Studio users this is a free upgrade from all previous versions. There is also a free DaVinci Resolve 16 beta 2 available and you can find the links to the new betas here.

If you have reported an issue previously we would appreciate if you could cross check with this list and verify that those items listed below are now working correctly and report on the forum any outstanding issues you find.

• Improved performance and stability when rendering mask shapes when using the Metal GPU processing mode
• Improved GPU performance for Duplicate tool
• Improved GPU performance for MotionBlur options in Fusion tools
• Improved zoom behavior in the keyframe and spline panels
• Addressed an issue with LightTrim when processing integer images
• Addressed multiple issues with GPU memory full errors in some Windows systems
• Addressed an issue with inconsistent saturation handling when using the BrightnessContrast tool
• Addressed multiple issues with inspector layouts for Loader, Saver and Media In tools
• Addressed an issue where using layers as MediaIn from certain EXR clips would sometimes cause a crash
• Addressed an issue where shadow tool would sometimes show a cropped output in certain situations
• Addressed an issue with inconsistent transform, brightness and contrast results with some GPU accelerated tools
• Addressed an issue with different particle render behavior between Windows and MacOS/Linux systems
• Addressed an issue with saving an image from the viewer would cause a crash
• Addressed an issue where stopping playback would cause the viewer to show an incorrect frame
• Addressed an issue where invoking Edit Splines from the node editor or tool controls would not open the spline panel
