Fusion 16 Performance

PostMon Jun 03, 2019 5:37 pm

Sorry for my bad English.
I am working on Fusion 9 Studio now I try Fusion 16 Studio Beta3.
I have made a Composition with 740 Frames with 2 Delta Keyers, one Particle Smoke Effect merged
to a Forground- and a Backgroundlayer.
In Fusion 16 the Rendering takes above 4 Hours and the exported Mov. in Prores LT cannot importet in
Resolve Studio.
In Fusion 9 the Rendering takes 59 min and the exported Mov. in Prores LT importet in Resolve Studio.
What is going wrong ??

My System: Asus z10 PE Motherboard, dual Xeon E5-2630v3 at 3.2 GHz, 128GB Ram, 1080ti Graphiccard
1x 3x2TB Raid, 1x 2x4TB Raid Samsung 950 Pro M2 for cahing.

It most likely has to do with the render settings of the particle simulation.
These have been changed between Fusion 9 and 16. I think the default render setting for 16 is now much higher than it was in 9 resulting in slower render times (but higher quality) if you set them back to similar values as in 9 similar render times will return.

What new features are we getting again in fusion besides a HORRIBLE INTERFACE?

This almost breaks everything. Make Resolve more like Fusion, NOT FUSION MORE LIKE RESOLVE.

Today I importet the same Comp into Resolve. in the Fusion Tab the Saver Export takes 58min.
Nothing in the Comp is changed. I don`t understand the differnt Rendertime
Has anyone an Idea ??!!

Can you verify that the image outputs are EXACTLY the same?

Opening a comp made in Fusion 9 does not guarantee the same settings in Fusion 16 beta. Some tools had their inputs refactored. If this is a problem, please report it. There may be unintended consequences.
