Audio playback in Fusion of the audio track from my edit timeline. How are we supposed to sync effects with audio?

Great question. I would love to know the answer too.
Refering to the Fusion tab inside DaVinci Resolve, that is. Not the standalone version.

A workaround I am using currently, is to:
In Edit tab: put the playhead on the point you want something to happen.
Open fusion tab: the playhead will be in that same spot. Note the placing (frames) and work to that.

I just checked this in F16 and it crashes every time I try to select an audio file for playback. In F9 it worked fine and also offered up the loader file as an option. Audio playback has never been its strong point but it has definitely taken a step back. I can't see how anybody can build motion graphics to a voice over or to music without being able to monitor the audio.

Works for me. Using a .wav file, 16b/44k.

Can you explain please? Works for you? How, it is playing back without having to do anything? In Fusion? I don't get it.

Yeah. Just select the file, hit play. Runs just fine with no stutter or anything.

If you have a complex comp with a lot of rendering and it's not cached at the viewed tool, it's going to stutter, but once it's cached it plays fine.

I'm guessing you're talking about the standalone Fusion app, not the tab in Resolve Studio. Because audio does not "just play back" in Studio/fusion tab.

As a prerequisite, Fusion supports playback and rendering only for specific WAV files, not other audio files or audio included in video files.
Even in Resolve, there is no audio button on the Fusion page in the first place, and when creating a Fusion Clip from a video clip on the Edit page, the audio track is separated at that moment. So when I want to strictly synchronize the sound and the graphic, I have to make some kind of mark (cigarette burn or text continuity) separately and work on it.

So I totally agree with this post and have requested the following since Fusion 9:
-Loader node (and now, MediaIn node is also), added the function to read audio files and data in video.
-Function to transfer the above data to Saver (and MediaOut) node.
-Audio waveform display in subV or time ruler etc.

Sorry for reviving this post. Have someone find a way to preview audio in Fusion tab?
