Hello,
I have a setup which comprises of a UMP camera, VA and VA4K monitors. I'm looking to get a relatively inexpensive monitor/TV for the clients on set. Currently, the 1st AC will use the 5 inch VA and the director is given the 7 inch VA4K which the clients have to crowd around to see performances and playback.
We have a couple of computer monitors in the studio office. Using a BMD micro SDI to HDMI converter, I managed to get an image up on my Dell U2713H (which I use for editing and grading) at any frame rate ranging from 24-60fps using a 1080P signal from the camera and converter. On a cheaper ACER monitor however, it would only display a 50 or 60fps signal.
I understand that the monitor needs to have refresh rates which can support the full range of frame rates, but looking at spec sheets online, I find it difficult to find the exact specs to confirm this. For the Dell monitor I already have, it says it supports Horizontal 29-113kHz and Vertical 49-86Hz which confuses me a bit, as I thought it needed to support 24-60Hz to be able to display all the frame rates available on the UMP. I know on cheaper monitors, they only support 50-60Hz which is usually on spec sheets.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
