Can I view on a color-reference monitor in Photoshop?

PostTue Nov 14, 2017 7:27 am

I have a DeckLink 4K Mini-Monitor outputting to a calibrated reference monitor.
I primarily color correct with Da Vinci Resolve and edit with Premiere Pro while using my reference monitor as, well, a reference.

Is there any way to do this in Photoshop? I'd love to have the UI on one screen while my color-accurate reference monitor displays the image. I see there is an option in Photoshop to Export > Blackmagic Image Export but this only provides a still and I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is accurate. It does not live update and is far from ideal.

If it doesn't exist, how does everyone else maintain color accuracy without a dedicated reference monitor? Do Photoshop pros use scientific monitors as their main display instead of as a reference monitor?

Hello,

I have the exact same question. I would love to work on photoshop with my eizo and my mini monitor.
I calibrated trough displaycal, in a 3D lut in resolve settings.

But, i assume that there is no way to "calibrate" for photoshop, without a lut box.. usually, with a Dp cable, it would be a .icc profile in the mac or even windows configuration, but with a mini monitor..

Let us know guys.

Thanks,

Matthieu
