Hardware calibration and reference monitor

PostSun Sep 23, 2018 8:13 pm

I have a BenQ SW2700PT that has a hardware calibration feature (14 bits 3D LUT). I don't actually use the feature anymore since the calibration program gave very inconsistent results but in principal, is the hardware calibration sufficient if I use the screen as reference monitor? Or do I still need to create an additional 3D LUT for the monitor that I need to activate in Resolve's Color Management settings when the monitor is connected via Decklink Mini Monitor?

Depends on how your timeline is set up. If it’s set to the same standard like the monitor, not needed.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.
