Configuring Audio out with Decklink 4K in Resolve

PostFri Oct 19, 2018 11:14 pm

Hi,
I think this is either a configuration issue or a misunderstanding on my part of how things work.

I just got an HP 24-inch DreamColor monitor for grading and connected it to my Decklink 4K via HDMI. The video looks great in both Premiere Pro CC and Resolve 15.

When I playback video in Premiere, the video plays on the HP monitor while the audio continues to be output over my system audio (a sound bar attached to my GUI monitor which is attached to the GTX 1080 in my system). This is what I want.

But I don't get audio when I playback in Resolve. Is this because it is output over the HDMI in the Decklink card and is "looking" for some speakers attached to my grading monitor? Is there some way to configure Resolve so that it uses the system audio for sound playblack?

Thanks in advance.

In the Resolve preferences, you can manually choose your audio set up under the Video and Audio I/O options.

Thanks, Jack.

For some reason, "Speaker Setup" wasn't enough of a clue the first time I looked there.

All is good now.
