Premiere Pro plays Blackmagic Raw-footage incorrectly

PostSun Oct 13, 2019 11:43 am

We've recently bought the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k and have issues with Premiere not showing the footage correctly. We're installed the bmraw codec and importing works just fine. However, on every single workstation (mac) the problem occurs.

This is a weird problem as the footage plays correctly, however, when we pause the iso/exposure is turned insanely high up. This also happens on exports and proxies, hence we cant really use it as the moment. In DaVinci Resolve it looks fine of course. I've attached 2 stills showing the problem.

Any ideas?

So via other threads I found, that you have to turn off maximum bit depth for the sequence and/or export settings... Hm, as I understand Premiere-tech that's not optimal. Any thoughts out there?

Hi, this should be addressed in the Blackmagic RAW 1.5.1 update we posted to the website yesterday. Download here - I would recommend leaving off maximum bit depth while working and just enabling on the render/export if you plan to use it:
