Building CC suite with Macbook pro 2018 and FSI DM240

PostMon Oct 21, 2019 1:09 pm

Hey guys, i would like to set up my own CC suite. I own a FSI dm 240 and a Macbook pro 2018.

Can i go from T3 to DisplayPort to the FSI and use it as a secondary (and accurate) screen?

Or i need to buy a Video I/O? If this is the case, wich would you recomend?

Thanks, Martin.

The ultra studio mini monitor is what you want, but you'll need a TB3 to TB2 adapter. If you have a dm240 then an extra $200 or so for the I/O device is a must!

Don't buy the Mini Monitor. It likely won't work with the Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adaptor. I think the adapter is not able to transmit enough power to the Mini Monitor.

I have to correct this. The Mini Monitor will work with the original Apple TB3-TB2 adapter. (Confirmed by Blackmagic support)
