Premiere Saving 1080i59.94 capture source as 29.97p files

PostThu Oct 24, 2019 6:10 am

I just got an Intensity Pro, windows 10.

I am capturing HDMI from a Canon Vixia HV30.

When capturing from Premiere although the video standard is set to 1080i59.94 every time I capture a clip premiere saves the file in 29.97p format. As a result some of the field lines are getting baked into the captured video file.

I cant find any way to set the exact frame rate premiere should be capturing to.

I just select Motion Jpeg

If I use Media Express it captures the file the right way as 29.97iUFF 24 bit stereo

Premiere captured files are 29.97p 16 bit stereo

The only capture options i have in premiere are uncompressed, Motion Jpeg, DVC PRO

If I choose DVC PRO it saves it interlaced but the resolution is only 1280x1080 not 1920x1080

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I have tried almost every project, preference, sequence, option setting imaginable in premiere

I want to use the premiere capture as i can control my canon camera while i capture from blackmagic

Thanks in advance for any help on this!
