Decklink 4K Extreme no longer recognized with Version 11.4.1

PostWed Nov 13, 2019 9:02 am

Hi folks,
I did an upgrade from to Adobe 2020 and Resolve 16 and did also upgrade the Desktop Video Software to the newest version. Durnig the update, there was also a firmware Upgrade of the Decklink 4K Extreme card.
Since that upgrade the Desktop Video Software do not recognize the card any more.
Same in an other PCI slot or on an other PC. What can I do?

Thanks for your help.

Here is what helped:

- Navigate to the Desktop Video folder within Program Files x86 and double click CheckVersionPCIE.exe
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl, Alt Del) and ensure that Blackmagic Software Updater is ‘Allowed’ and is running in the background.
- Ensure that no other third party software is blocking Blackmagic Software Updater from running. Computer scanners and cleaners like Avast and CCleaner can sometimes block this software, try uninstalling, restarting etc...
- Please locate Linkstate Power Manager which should be within advanced power settings within Windows control panel, please disable this if it is enabled.
- Finally, try rebooting into the BIOS of your computer and navigating to Secure Boot settings. In here, ensure that Windows is NOT using UEFI mode, but instead is using 'OS Mode', or something similar.

Thanks to the very kind BM Support!
Best regards
