Burn in question

PostTue Sep 18, 2012 6:31 am

I have two question about the burn in feature.
- How can i output the burn in data to external video output? Right now, i just have it on the Resolve viewer.
- I don't see the burn in clip based. I can burn in the project but when i choose it for clip, nothing happen. Am i doing something wrong?
Thank you for your help.

The clip based burn-ins are only available in the Unmix mode. This is also available during source mode renders (which also happens in Unmix mode).

To switch to Unmix mode, use the button on the viewer on the color page. In this mode, no conform effects, dissolves, fade-ups, etc are shown.

Thanks a lot for you answer. It's surprising that it is not explained in the burn in section of the manual.
I still need to know why i don"t see the burn in in on the external video monitor. Any idea?

There is no burn-in support for the external monitor currently.

I was confused but that sentence in the manual : "This window burn is written into files that you render in the Deliver page, and it’s also output to video, for viewing on your external display, or for outputting to tape.". I guess it means external display after using the delivery.
Thanks for your help.
