Blackmagic Ultrastudio 3D processing power?

Hi there,

I was wondering if this capture device will also handle the processing power of effects similar to having GPU power? Im working off an i7 Imac that is pretty grunty when it comes to working and I am cutting from thunderbolt drives. Im cutting in premier cs6 and have a gfx card that has 1gb memory.

DaVinci Resolve uses the UltraStudio 3D via Thunderbolt for image and audio I/O. It does not perform any GPU operations as its role is I/O. It's likely you will need GPUs too.
