Intensity Shuttle (USB 3.0) and Mac Pro

I'm seeing if I can get my Intensity Shuttle capture card to work with my upgraded Mac Pro (dual booting OSX and Windows). It's a mid-2010 model and, of course, doesn't have support for Thunderbolt, but I did get a USB 3.0 card that works perfect on both OS's. The Shuttle itself works perfectly on Windows, but I can't seem to get it working on the Mac side, which would be pretty useful. Is there any way around this?
