Could I have fried my BMI Pro?

PostTue Oct 08, 2013 1:57 pm

I use my BMI solely to stream Xbox 360 video to Twitch.tv website.

I moved recently, and when I was re-plugging the HDMI cord into my Blackmagic card there was a small shock when the HDMI connector hit the metal to plug it into the input slot on the BMI, which is weird because the source (Xbox) wasn't even turned on at the time.

Anyways, I have installed the drivers and reinstalled. (Blackmagic Desktop Video 9.8) but the Blackmagic control panel says No settings needed. Media Express says No Devices Found. It seems my computer cannot see the BMI Pro. Do I need some other drivers?

I have checked the card no visible problems and I made sure it was snug fit into the slot.

Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.
