resolve 8 crashes

hey guys i have a serious problem

im grading a movie right now and of course I'm almost finished
i added some additional shots lately most of them dpx and exr
now resolve crashes .
i can get the project to load but as soon as i hit the conform tab or color tab
it crashes
i tried somethings but unfortunately i don't know whats wrong now
sad thing is our customer comes tomorrow for final touches and I'm kind of stewed right now
hope someone can point me to a solution as fast as possible

ok i had a copy of the project as back up
ive loaded that one to resolve
i can get it to work again
but there is something wrong with my first act. i can't get it to load properly anytime ii click my first act in the conform tab it crashes and i didn't change anything to the del or something.

i don't have any clue

ok since i had a very mixed timeline with red footage dpx exr and !!!quicktime mov)proves422(HQ)!!!
i figured out somehow that my freaking quicktimeplayer was the issue.
so if anybody has problem with resolve crashing over and over again check your quicktimeplayer

What did you do to fix the problem? Was it an issue with the version of Quicktime player? Did you install a newer version, or reinstall the existing version, or what exactly?

i had a mixed timeline with all kind of formats
and suddenly it started to crash every time i loaded a certain del with lots of quicktime pro res footage in the timeline

first i thought it was a coruppted file and i tried to separate that one so i can somehow reload all my stuff.
then i figured out that it was something with my quicktime prores files.
i checked my quicktimeplayer 7 because i copied some codecs from another workstation a few days before.
and because i couldn't loos anything i thought ok maybe mistake is here.
i erased the old one and reinstalled a fresh copy and suddenly everything worked again.


the guy from the customer service told me i should backup my database from time to time with i didn't know, so at least it had a good thing, now i know how to back up my database and how to restore and backup all the files:)

even now it works all again, i had to reconfirm a few files but thats ok.
now i can finish the movie and berlinale is calling.
