Bringing footage onto Imac w/bmcc

PostMon Nov 25, 2013 6:49 am

So I am unclear with my options for uploading footage onto my 2011 imac, which only has firewire 800 and usb 2.0 inputs. Using the standard black magic cinema camera, is there an adapter I can purchase? Or is my solution getting an SSD reader? If so which one would best suit me?

2 simple cable options.

Cheap (but slow as you only have USB2):
USB to SATA cable - http://amzn.to/1a0tgrG

More expensive:
Seagate GoFlex FireWire 800 cable - http://amzn.to/1eiVDWM

And a dock options:
NewerTech Voyager Q Quad Interface Dock - http://amzn.to/1c43fwL
